About Cuspivolva tigris (T.Yamamoto, 1971)

Cuspivolva tigris, commonly known as the Tiger egg cowry, reaches an adult length of around 1.5 centimeters. Its shell is yellow to orange, oblong in shape, and marked with fine lateral grooves. The mantle can completely cover the shell, and ranges in color from yellowish to orange, with lateral lines outlined in white. The foot shares the same coloration as the mantle, and has small black dots. This species is widely distributed across the tropical waters of the Indo-Pacific region.
