Culiseta annulata (Schrank, 1776) is a species of mosquito in the family Culicidae. This species is distributed across the Palearctic realm. On October 16, 2025, it became the first mosquito species in Iceland where both male and female individuals have been identified. In terms of ecology, Culiseta annulata overwinters in the adult life stage. In Northern Europe, female Culiseta annulata occupy caves from autumn through early spring, sharing this habitat with female mosquitoes from the genus Culex, specifically Culex pipiens, Culex torrentium, and Culex territans.
