Cryptocentrus caeruleopunctatus, commonly called the harlequin prawn-goby, is a species of goby. This species was originally restricted to the Red Sea, where it lives on open sand bottoms in clear water reefs alongside alpheid shrimps. It has only recently entered the Mediterranean Sea, where large established populations have been observed off Israel’s coast.
