Crotaphytus nebrius has a grayish-yellow base body color, marked with grayish-white spots. These spots are large along the middle of the body, and smaller on the sides. The species also characteristically has a set of black stripes on its neck, and may additionally have red-orange markings on the neck. Crotaphytus nebrius reproduces by being oviparous, meaning it lays eggs.
