About Crocus pulchellus Herb.
Crocus pulchellus, commonly known as the hairy crocus, is a flowering plant species belonging to the family Iridaceae. Its native range extends from the Northern Balkan Peninsula to Northwestern Turkey. This cormous perennial grows to 10 cm (3.9 in) tall. It produces pale lilac-blue flowers in autumn, before its leaves emerge. This plant has been awarded the Royal Horticultural Society's Award of Garden Merit.
