About Crocanthes micradelpha (Lower, 1897)

Crocanthes micradelpha is a moth species belonging to the family Lecithoceridae. It can be found in the northern regions of Queensland, Australia. This moth has a wingspan of approximately 10 mm, which equals 0.39 inches. Its forewings are orange-yellow, with a small blackish spot on the costa one-third of the distance from the base. A broad purplish-fuscous hindmarginal band covers the final third of the forewing; the anterior edge of this band is darker, and curves slightly outwards. A yellowish elongated spot sits on the costal portion of this band. The hindwings of Crocanthes micradelpha are dark-fuscous. This species lays flat eggs. The larvae that hatch from these eggs are white and hairy, and they feed on eucalypt leaf litter.
