About Crocanthes glycina Meyrick, 1906

Crocanthes glycina is a species of moth in the family Lecithoceridae. It is found in Australia, with recorded populations in Victoria, the Australian Capital Territory, and Tasmania. This moth has a wingspan of 15 to 17 millimeters (0.59 to 0.67 inches). Its forewings are pale, clear yellow with bronzy-fuscous markings that show purplish reflections. A costal streak runs from the base of the forewing to its middle, tapering toward the rear. There is also a moderate postmedian fascia that runs parallel to the termen; its anterior edge is irregular, finely edged with black, and it is connected strongly or only in a suffused way on the costa to a moderate terminal fascia, and sometimes it is almost connected to the terminal fascia on the tornus as well. The hindwings of Crocanthes glycina are grey, darkening toward the posterior, and feature a darker transverse discal mark.
