About Crithagra citrinelloides (Rüppell, 1840)

The African citril (Crithagra citrinelloides), which is also called the Abyssinian citril, is a finch species. Its range extends from Ethiopia and Eritrea to western Kenya. This species is closely related to the western and southern citril, and was formerly considered to be the same species as those two. Studies of this bird conducted in the Degua Tembien massif have found that it is a breeding resident that lives in woodland edges, scrubland and forest edges.
