Cristiceps aurantiacus, commonly called the golden weedfish or yellow crested weedfish, is a species of clinid. This species occurs near New South Wales, Australia, and around New Zealand. It inhabits tide pools and the subtidal zone, and can be found at depths down to 30 metres (98 feet). Its diet is made up of crustaceans and small fishes. It can grow to a maximum total length of 22 centimetres (8.7 inches).
