Cristaria plicata, commonly known as the cockscomb pearl mussel, is a species of freshwater mussel. It is an aquatic bivalve mollusk that belongs to the family Unionidae. This species is native to northeast Asia, and it is currently also found in parts of southeast Asia. This large mussel is classified as endangered in South Korea. In China, Cristaria plicata is considered one of the most important freshwater mussels for pearl production in the country. It is also used for medicinal purposes.
