Cremastobombycia solidaginis is a species of moth that belongs to the family Gracillariidae. It is found in the Canadian provinces of Ontario and Quebec, as well as in multiple U.S. states: Florida, Texas, Georgia, Kentucky, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Connecticut, and Michigan. The wingspan of this moth ranges from 7 to 9 mm. The larvae of Cremastobombycia solidaginis feed on Baccharis pilularis and multiple species in the Solidago genus. Host Solidago species include Solidago altissima, Solidago bicolor, Solidago caesia, Solidago canadensis, Solidago fistulosa, Solidago gigantea, Solidago patula, and Solidago rugosa.
