About Craterellus lutescens (Fr.) Fr.
Craterellus lutescens has brighter colouring overall than Craterellus tubaeformis. Its cap is irregularly lobed, and ranges in colour from brown to bistre. Its hymenium is either nearly smooth or slightly veined, and is pink in colour. Its stipe is yellow-orange. Both the hymenium and stipe are more brightly coloured than the corresponding structures of C. tubaeformis. This species is edible. In terms of habitat, Craterellus lutescens is commonly found growing in large colonies in certain coniferous forests. It grows under spruce, mountain fir trees, or in pinewoods located near the seashore.
