About Crataegus marshallii Eggl.
Crataegus marshallii Eggl. is a species of hawthorn, commonly called parsley hawthorn. It is native to the southeastern United States. This species has finely dissected, decorative leaves. Its dainty flowers, small red fruit, and attractive bark all contribute to its ornamental value. In 1803, Michaux published the name Crataegus apiifolia for this American species, but this name is considered illegitimate.
