About Crassula natans Thunb.

Botany: Crassula natans Thunb. most frequently grows in and around shallow standing water, specifically in rock pools and dams. When growing on moist soil, these plants are typically deep red in color, grow in tufts, and reach no more than 2.4 inches in height, with three flowers produced at each node. When the plants grow submerged, their buoyant branches can grow up to 14 inches (35 cm) long, and are enlarged at the base that supports narrow, linear leaves. The floating leaves of submerged plants are oblong, much broader than submerged basal leaves, and only occasionally produce more than one flower per node.
