Crassula has flat leaves with cartilaginous cilia and connate - vaginant bases. It is described in Vir. cliff. 26, Hort. cliff. 116, and Roy. lugdb. 454. It is also referred to as Cotyledon africana frutescens, with an umbellate, scarlet flower, as described in Comm. rar. 24, t. 24.
