About Craniophora pontica (Staudinger)

Craniophora pontica (Staudinger) is a moth species belonging to the Noctuidae family. This species is distributed from the southern Balkans, through the Near East and parts of the Middle East, all the way to Afghanistan. In the Levant region, it has been recorded in Lebanon and Israel. Adult moths are active in flight from April to May, and again in September. There are two generations of this moth each year. The larvae of Craniophora pontica feed on plants from the Fraxinus genus.
