About Crambus laqueatellus Clemens, 1860

Crambus laqueatellus, commonly known as the eastern grass-veneer, is a species of moth belonging to the family Crambidae. It was first described by James Brackenridge Clemens in 1860. This moth is native to North America, where its recorded range extends from Ontario and Maine in the east to South Carolina in the southeast, westward to Texas, and northward to North Dakota. The wingspan of adult Crambus laqueatellus measures between 23 and 30 mm. Adult moths can be seen in flight from April through September each year. The larvae of this species feed on grasses.
