Crambidia cephalica, commonly called the yellow-headed lichen moth, is a moth species that belongs to the family Erebidae. It was first described by Augustus Radcliffe Grote and Coleman Townsend Robinson in 1870. This species can be found in the central and southern regions of the United States, with a range extending from eastern Nevada, Utah, and Arizona east to southern Ohio, Tennessee, North Carolina, and northern Georgia. Its native habitat includes steppes and open forests. The forewings of this moth measure between 9 and 15 millimeters in length. Adult yellow-headed lichen moths are active from March to September, and they produce multiple generations each year.
