About Cossypha dichroa (Gmelin, 1789)

This species is a large robin-chat that measures approximately 20 cm (7.9 in) in length. It can be identified by its dark upperparts; its ear coverts and lores are slightly darker than the remaining areas of the face, head, neck, and back. Its underparts are yellow-orange, and it has no white eye stripe. Juveniles of the species have sooty, mottled tawny-buff plumage on both their upper and lower bodies, and their tails are red-orange with a dark centre.
