Cosmoclopius nigroannulatus is a species of assassin bug that belongs to the family Reduviidae and the subfamily Harpactorinae. This species acts as a predator of pests found in tobacco fields. Its primary prey is the tobacco grayish bug, Spartocera dentiventris. It is also documented to feed on two species of aphids: Myzus persicae and Macrosiphum euphorbiae, as well as beetles from the genus Epitrix and the species Diabrotica speciosa.
