About Coryphella lineata (Lovén, 1846)

This species, scientifically named Coryphella lineata (Lovén, 1846), most commonly grows to 20 to 30 millimeters, or 2 to 3 centimeters, in length. Individuals display a range of color variations: their bodies are translucent white, and their digestive glands inside the cerata show coloring that can be red, red-brown, yellow, or orange. Coryphella lineata is found across all of the British Isles. Its distribution extends south as far as the Mediterranean Sea, and north as far as Norway.
