About Coryphella chriskaugei (Korshunova, Martynov, Bakken, Evertsen, Fletcher, Mudianta, Saito, Lundin, Schrödl & Picton, 2017)
Coryphella chriskaugei, first formally described in 2017, typically reaches an adult body length of 30 to 50 millimeters. This species displays a range of color variations, with a base translucent white body, and red, red-brown, yellow, or orange coloring in the digestive gland located inside the cerata. This species was originally described from specimens collected at Gulen Dive Resort, at the entrance to Sognefjord, Norway, at the coordinates 60.9567°N 5.1293°E. Its documented distribution spans the entire British Isles, extends north to Norway, occurs along the Atlantic coasts of France, and also includes the Mediterranean Sea.
