About Corydalis solida (L.) Clairv.
Corydalis solida (L.) Clairv., commonly called fumewort or bird-in-a-bush, is a flowering plant species belonging to the Papaveraceae family. It is native to moist, shady habitats across northern Europe and Asia. This plant reaches a maximum height of 25 cm (10 in), and is classified as a spring ephemeral: its foliage emerges in spring, and dies back to its tuberous rootstock by summer. It is cultivated for its deeply divided, fern-like foliage and narrow, long-spurred flowers that bloom in spring. Its flowers display natural color variation, and can be mauve, purple, red, or white.
