About Corydalis cheilanthifolia Hemsl.

This species is scientifically named Corydalis cheilanthifolia Hemsl. It gets its scientific name from the shape of its leaves, which resemble those of lipferns (genus Cheilanthes). The leaves turn bronze and persist through the winter. Yellow flowers grow in long upright racemes on leafless stems, blooming from mid-spring to early summer. Seeds with elaiosomes are held in a long, thin pod.
