About Corydalis caucasica DC.

This species, Corydalis caucasica DC., is a tuberous herbaceous perennial. It grows 15 cm (5.9 in) tall and 15 cm (5.9 in) wide, with glaucous green leaves. In spring, it produces clusters of tubular white flowers. It is a spring ephemeral, meaning its foliage dies down completely during the summer. For cultivation, it is suitable for growing in rock gardens or alpine houses. It needs sharp drainage, and can be grown in full sun or partial shade. Its preferred location should be dry in summer and damp in winter. It has received the Royal Horticultural Society's Award of Garden Merit, under the name Corydalis malkensis.
