About Coronilla minima L.
Coronilla minima L. has erect stems that reach 5 to 60 centimetres (2.0 to 23.6 inches) in length. Its leaves are borne in 2 to 4 pairs, with an overall length of 0.8 to 2.2 centimetres, and are membranous in texture. Each leaf has obovate, spatulate leaflets that measure 1.2 to 20 millimetres long and 0.8 to 7 millimetres wide. This species flowers in spring. Its inflorescence holds 4 to 12 flowers, on a 1.5 to 3.5 millimetre long peduncle. The peduncle bears ascending, 0.4 millimetre long bracteoles, which are often deciduous. Flower pedicels are 1 to 3.5 millimetres long. The calyx is 2 to 4 millimetres long and glabrous. The corolla is yellow. Keels measure 4 to 6.5 millimetres long by 1.5 to 2.1 millimetres wide, and bear a single 2 to 2.5 millimetre long awn. Fruits are straight and 10 to 45 millimetres long. Fruits contain yellowish-brown seeds that range from transverse to ovoid in shape, measuring 1 to 1.1 millimetres by 3 to 3.8 millimetres.
