Cormocephalus aurantiipes, commonly known as the orange-footed centipede, is a common centipede species distributed across Australia. It is frequently confused with the related species Cormocephalus westwoodi. This centipede occurs in every Australian state, with the exceptions of Tasmania and the Northern Territory. Like most centipedes, Cormocephalus aurantiipes has many distinct colour forms that vary based on the locality the centipede is found in. It is a medium-sized centipede; it can grow to a maximum length of 140 millimetres (5.5 inches), but individuals are more commonly found at around 100 millimetres (3.9 inches) long.
