Coradion melanopus, commonly known as the twospot coralfish, is a species of marine ray-finned butterflyfish that belongs to the family Chaetodontidae. This fish is widely distributed across the tropical waters of the central Indo-Pacific region, ranging from Indonesia to the Philippines. The twospot coralfish is a small species, reaching a maximum total length of 15 cm. It is a cautious species that lives in both sheltered lagoons and exposed outer reefs, and is most often found feeding on sponges along drop-offs. It forms breeding pairs.
