The Oriental cuckooshrike, with the scientific name Coracina javensis (Horsfield, 1821), is a bird species that belongs to the Campephagidae family. This species has a wide distribution that extends from the Himalayas, through Southeast Asia, to east China and Taiwan. It is also present on the Indonesian islands of Java and Bali. Its natural habitat is subtropical or tropical moist lowland forest. Previously, the known range of this species was restricted only to Java and Bali, and it carried the English common name "Javan cuckooshrike".
