About Coracina cinerea (Statius Muller, 1776)

The Madagascar cuckooshrike, also called the ashy cuckooshrike, is a species of bird classified under the scientific name Coracina cinerea (Statius Muller, 1776); it is also sometimes referenced under the synonym Ceblepyris cinereus, and belongs to the Campephagidae bird family. Some taxonomic treatments recognize the Comoros cuckooshrike, sometimes classified as Ceblepyris cucullatus, as a separate distinct species from this bird. This species is found in Madagascar and Mayotte. Its natural habitats are subtropical or tropical dry forest, and subtropical or tropical moist lowland forest.
