Cophyla grandis (Boulenger, 1889), also referenced as Platypelis grandis, is a species of frog belonging to the family Microhylidae. This species is endemic to Madagascar. Its natural habitats are subtropical or tropical moist lowland forests, and subtropical or tropical moist montane forests. It is currently threatened by habitat loss. Juvenile individuals can be recognized by the green protuberances covering their bodies, which help them camouflage and hunt. When the frogs reach maturity, their overall coloring becomes a mix of brown and green. The bulk of this frog's diet consists of insects.
