This species, scientifically named Conus leopardus (Röding, 1798), is a marine species. The adult shell of this species reaches an adult size that ranges between 50 millimeters and 222 millimeters. Its distribution includes the Indian Ocean, where it is found off the coasts of Aldabra, Chagos, Madagascar, Tanzania, Mauritius, and within the Mascarene basin. It also occurs throughout the entire Indo-Pacific Region, and off the Australian territories of Northern Territory, Queensland, and Western Australia.
