The scientific name of this species is Conus eburneus Hwass, 1792. The adult shell of this species measures between 30 mm and 79 mm in size. The shell itself is white, typically marked with two or three light yellowish bands that bear very dark brown revolving spots. This is a marine species. It occurs in the tropical Indo-West Pacific region, ranging from the East African coast (off Madagascar and Chagos) to Polynesia and the Ryukyu Islands, and also includes parts of Australia: the Northern Territory, Queensland, and Western Australia. It is not found along Hawaii.
