The shell of Conus aplustre ranges in size from 19 mm to 27 mm. It is relatively stoutly turbinated, smooth, thin, and somewhat inflated, with striations near the base. The shell color is yellowish white, marked with faint irregular bands of yellowish brown or ash, plus articulated lines of white and chestnut. The spire is depressed, and the apex is pointed. This is a marine species endemic to Australia, where it is found off the coasts of New South Wales and Queensland.
