About Conuber sordidum (Swainson, 1821)

Conuber sordidum was originally described as Natica sordida by Swainson in 1821. It is a species of predatory sea snail, a marine gastropod mollusk that belongs to Naticidae, the moon snail family. This species is distributed along the east coast of Australia, ranging from Victoria to Queensland. It is also found in waters off Tasmania and New Zealand. Conuber sordidum inhabits intertidal muddy sand flats located near mangroves or seaweed.
