About Conocephalum conicum (L.) Dumort.

Conocephalum conicum (L.) Dumort., commonly called the great scented liverwort or snakeskin liverwort, is a liverwort species belonging to the genus Conocephalum. It is a member of the Conocephalum conicum complex, a group that contains several cryptic species. Its scientific epithet "conicum" refers to its cone-shaped archegoniophore, the structure that bears sporangia.
