About Comostola subtiliaria (Bremer, 1864)
Comostola subtiliaria is a moth species that belongs to the family Geometridae, and was first described by Otto Vasilievich Bremer in 1864. It is a widespread species, found in Korea, adjacent areas of Siberia, Japan, Borneo, Sumatra, north-east Himalayan India, South China, Taiwan, and Sri Lanka. Adult moths are generally green, and have a discal spot on their hindwing that is more regularly shaped and more square than the corresponding spot in related species. The caterpillars of this moth are known to feed on plant species from the genera Malus, Eurya, and Viburnum.
