Commelina africana, commonly known as the common yellow commelina, is a widespread flowering plant species belonging to the family Commelinaceae. It is native to Sub‑Saharan Africa, Madagascar, Réunion, and the Arabian Peninsula, and has been introduced to India. It is sometimes eaten as a leaf vegetable, and is occasionally used as feed for rabbits and pigs.
