Cominella virgata H.Adams & A.Adams, 1853 is a species of predatory sea snail, which is classified as a marine gastropod mollusc in the family Cominellidae. This marine species is endemic to New Zealand. It lives in the mid to low tidal zones, and favors areas that contain less sediment. Individuals of this species can be found in tide pools, sheltering in crevices or beneath rocks. It shows a preference for habitats with Neptune's Necklace and Coralline algae species.
