About Colotis evagore (Klug, 1829)

Colotis evagore, commonly known as the desert orange tip, small orange tip, or tiny orange tip, is a butterfly species belonging to the family Pieridae. This species occurs in dry regions of tropical Africa, northern Africa, southern Spain, and southwest Arabia. Males of this species have a wingspan ranging from 28 to 35 millimeters, while females have a wingspan ranging from 28 to 38 millimeters. Adult Colotis evagore fly from February to August, with the flight period varying based on the location of their range. The larvae of this butterfly feed on plant species from the genera Maerua, Capparis, and Cadaba.
