About Colotis euippe (Linnaeus, 1758)

Colotis euippe (Linnaeus, 1758) has a wingspan of 35 to 45 millimeters. Adult individuals of this species fly throughout the year. Summer-form adults from Witsand have less extensive black markings, which sets them apart from specimens collected from other regions. The larvae of Colotis euippe feed on plant species belonging to the genera Maerua, Capparis, Cadaba, and Boscia.
