Colotis antevippe, commonly known as the red tip, is a butterfly species belonging to the Pieridae family. This species is native to the Afrotropical realm. Adult Colotis antevippe have a wingspan ranging from 40 to 45 millimeters. Adult butterflies of this species fly throughout the entire year. The larvae of Colotis antevippe feed on five plant species: Boscia albitrunca, Boscia oleoides, Capparis sepiara, Maerua cafra, and Maerua juncea.
