About Colluricincla harmonica (Latham, 1802)

The grey shrikethrush, which is often just called thrush in casual conversation, is a medium-sized bird. It measures approximately 24 centimeters (9.4 inches) in total length, and does not have bright-colored plumage. This species has an exceptional ability to produce clear, ringing melodic song. No other Australasian bird species can match this melodic ability, with the only possible exceptions being the two lyrebird species and the grey shrikethrush's northern relative, the sandstone shrikethrush.
