About Colliguaja odorifera Molina

Colliguaja odorifera Molina is a lignotuberous species in the plant family Euphorbiaceae. It occurs in parts of South America, specifically in the Chilean matorral, where it grows on both north-facing and south-facing slopes. These two slope types differ in air and soil moisture levels, and in the amount of sunlight they receive, and this shrub is able to adapt to these different conditions. It is specifically recorded growing in central Chile, in the areas of La Campana National Park and Cerro La Campana. In these areas, this lignotuberous species grows in the same forest as the endangered Chilean Wine Palm.
