About Colias christina Edwards, 1863
Colias christina, described by Edwards in 1863, has a slight orange-red base ground color. It stands out due to the yellow basal area of both of its wings. The underside of the wings has no markings other than a median spot. Females of this species are almost entirely white, with only a small amount of dark dusting along the distal margin of the forewing, plus a black median spot with a white center. The wingspan of Colias christina ranges from 35 millimeters to 52 millimeters. This species occupies habitats that include montane forest roads, trails, glades, and clearings.
