About Coenagrion resolutum (Selys, 1876)

This species is scientifically named Coenagrion resolutum (Selys, 1876). Males of the species are blue, with black markings on the upper surface of the abdomen, and greenish sides on the thorax. On abdominal segments 3 through 5, these black markings extend to half the length of each segment. Females are greenish blue or yellowish green, with black dorsal markings that are nearly continuous along the length of the abdomen. Individuals hold their wings folded behind the body. The species has a wingspan ranging from 27 to 33 mm.
