About Codonorchis lessonii (d'Urv.) Lindl.
Codonorchis lessonii is an orchid species. It is native to Chile and Argentina, and in Chile it grows between the Maule and Magallanes regions. Its English common names are Palomita Orchid and Dog Orchid; palomita translates to "little dove" in Spanish. In central-southern Chile, this orchid forms a mycorrhizal symbiotic relationship with fungi belonging to the Ceratobasidiaceae and Tulasnellaceae families.
