Cocculus hirsutus, with the scientific name Cocculus hirsutus (L.) W.Theob., is a tropical flowering plant. Its common names are broom creeper and Patalgarudi, the latter being a Sanskrit name. This plant is native to South Asia, Southeast Asia, parts of East Asia, West Asia, and tropical Africa. It is a climbing vine that can reach up to 3 metres (9.8 ft) in height. Its flowers range in color from white to yellowish, and it produces dark purple fruits that measure 4 to 8 mm in diameter.
