About Cnidium cnidiifolium (Turcz.) Schischk.
Cnidium cnidiifolium (Turcz.) Schischk. is a species of flowering plant in the parsley family, Apiaceae. Its common names are northern hemlock-parsley and Jakutsk snowparsley; the name Jakutsk snowparsley comes from the Russian town Jakutsk. This species is native to Russia, Alaska, and the Canadian territories of Northwest Territories and Yukon, as well as the Canadian province of British Columbia. Light purple to white umbel-shaped flowers bloom from late June to August, and each umbel has five lanceolate bracts. The fruits of this plant are ovate in shape. The lower leaves are hairless (glabrous), bi- to tripinnate, and grow on petioles, while the upper leaves are nearly sessile or fully sessile. Stems grow from a split caudex and reach up to 60 centimeters in total height. Cnidium cnidiifolium grows in wet locations including meadows and riverbanks, and also grows on gravelly slopes.
