About Clematicissus striata subsp. striata
Clematicissus striata subsp. striata is a subspecies of climbing plant belonging to the grape family Vitaceae. This subspecies (under Clematicissus striata) is distributed across south-central Chile, ranging from the Coquimbo region to the Magallanes region, as well as in Argentina, Brazil, Uruguay, Paraguay, and Bolivia. It develops a woody stem that turns reddish in color as it grows older. Its leaves are palmately compound, made up of five individual leaflets.
